Business recording terms

Quality checks, accepted hours, payments and business IP.

What accepted hours means

Accepted hours are recording time that passes QC and is approved by a reviewer—not simply time the camera was switched on.

  1. Agreed work: the recording covers the tasks, location and scope agreed before collection.
  2. Usable recording: the files are readable, play correctly and pass the required technical checks, including timing and synchronization where applicable.
  3. Work is visible: the camera shows the activity clearly enough to review. For hand-based work, at least one working hand must be visible; both hands are not required.
  4. Permission and consent: the site is authorized and everyone recorded has given the required consent.
  5. Privacy requirements are met: the accepted material complies with the agreed restrictions on faces, voices, private documents, screens and customer information.
  6. Reviewer approval: the reviewer records the approved minutes after checking quality, consent and privacy.

Partial acceptance

A collection can be accepted in part. Only approved minutes count toward accepted hours. A hand leaving the frame does not automatically reject the whole collection; the affected portion is reviewed.

Payments

Payments are made weekly after collection acceptance, based on accepted hours at the agreed rate.

Your business IP and how recordings are used

Your business IP stays yours. Participation does not transfer ownership of your existing intellectual property, including your trademarks, designs, recipes, documents or trade secrets.

Confidential material is excluded. Before recording, we agree which tasks and areas may be captured. Trade secrets, confidential processes and other identified restricted material must not be recorded or used for model training or shared with customers. Any affected footage must be excluded from use unless the restricted material is removed.

How recordings are used. Only the agreed recordings and derived task or motion data may be used for the robotics-training purpose expressly stated in the same written agreement. This permission does not transfer ownership of your existing business IP or grant rights to unrelated business IP.
